Able to withstand violent tornadoes rated up to EF5, this 7 ft. x 7 ft. x 6.66 ft. shelter doubles as a safe zone. It should only be installed indoor and above ground, preferably within the interior of a residence. It must be within 150 ft. of the residence if installed outdoors. This shelter, which is not waterproof, has undergone and passed testing at the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech. Each ESP safety shelter is verified in compliance with the standards of the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA). It withstood impacts equivalent to the force produced by an F5 tornado with 250 MPH winds. Each shelter meets or exceeds all FEMA P320/P361 and ICC-500 Code requirements when installation guidelines are met. This shelter can accommodate up to 14 people and features a bolt-together design for easy construction and relocation.
